Annual monoecious herbs with slender prostrate stems.
Leaves oblanceolate or spatulate, rarely obovate, 3–5 mm long, 0.3–1 mm wide.
Female flowers without bracteoles, pedicellate, stigmas as long as ovary; male flowers with stamens ca. 0.3 mm long.
Fruit oblong, broader than high, pedicellate, mericarp with a narrowed and elongate outgrowth at base, face curved.
